We're doing really fascinating livestreams in various SF East Bay creek watersheds and need a great human to help us manage our livestream guests during the tech check (1 hour) and the livestream (1.5 hours) 1-2 times a month.
You'll meet with Wholly H2O director and the guests at the site of the livestream for the tech check, and help get the speakers oriented to the equipment we're using during the livestream (headset, phone with zoom, tripod with phone holder head). Then 1-2 weeks late, you'll come again to help the guests manage their tech during the actual livestream.
It's pretty simple, and you mostly have to have patience with tech-dweebs, remain calm and re-explain things, help them mute and unmute themselves, etc. It is easy to learn the simple systems we have.
The actual livestream content is always super fascinating, so that's a great bonus.
Wholly H2O catalyzes dynamic, informed connections between people and their watersheds via community and citizen science, art & green infrastructure education.
What about reimagining watersheds as neighborhoods large and small literally Waterhoods? In order to deal with climate change, we have a great need for people to get reconnected to the ecosystems and their waterhoods so that we have a better understanding of what we ALL need - humans other animals and plants together. Rather than seeing the natural world, of which we are a part, as a series of resources to extract, we’re encouraging you to get to know your waterhood and all your neighbors.
