Come join us from 7:15-11 am and help us distribute food to our community on Saturday mornings. Every Saturday morning from 8:30-10:30 am, we distribute pre-bagged bags of non-perishables, meat, and bread and have a produce stand featuring lots of fresh produce to give to our community! Join us as we serve our neighbors and try to safely make connections with others. Come serve with us and learn more about our community and how we serve our neighborhood!

Please read through the safety information below and let us know if you have any questions.
Safety for Shoppers and Volunteers

We are serving a very vulnerable population and are taking every precaution to keep our whole community safe. We also will not risk the health and safety of our staff and volunteers. Otherwise, we risk all of us becoming sick. To that end, we are asking everyone to follow this health protocol while volunteering with us at the Riverwest Food Pantry:

  • Stay home...
    • If you have any flu-like or respiratory illness symptoms such as coughing or fever; contact your health professional.
    • If you are above 65 years of age or have a chronic disease that could make you high risk
  • Personal Protective Wear
    • Wear a mask. Please bring your own mask if possible
    • Keep hands away from face, eyes and mouth
    • Wear gloves when handling, sorting or packing of food boxes
    • Frequently wash hands for at least 20 seconds with antibacterial hand soap and warm water, or use 60-95% alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available
    • Use hand sanitizer and gloves when distributing food/resource
    • Utilize gloves for all deliveries and handling of fresh product
    • Clean workstation and commonly touched areas frequently with alcohol wipes/disinfectant spray
  • Social Distancing
    • Practice recommended social-distancing guidelines of at least 6 ft apart while at the pantry

We understand that there may be differing opinions regarding how to best navigate the outbreak of COVID-19. However, after considering the CDC health guidelines and the vulnerable community members we serve, we have decided as an organization that this is the necessary protocol for our staff and volunteers to follow to keep everyone safe.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
