In-Person Volunteer Program Facilitator

Purpose:
- Provide quality educational opportunities for youth in Ramsey County
- Coordinate and lead after-school enrichment activities that promote positive youth development
Time required:
- 1-4 hours per week of in-person youth programming (after-school hours, 2pm-5pm)
- Commitment can vary; November 2020 - February 2021
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, plan, and teach 4-H youth programming focused on a variety of subjects; subjects may be determined based on volunteer interests and expertise, but could include STEM, arts, social justice, or healthy living
- Develop and manage program plan and youth attendance
- Recruit adult volunteers to support the program
This role is ideal for:
- Individuals interested in creating fun and innovative opportunities for youth learning and leadership
- Individuals seeking skills-based experiences in educational settings and possibly an interest in pursuing a career in youth development or education
- An individual with strong organizational skills who likes to lead and facilitate projects
- Someone with strong interpersonal skills good at communicating with youth and families

Minnesota 4-H is committed to providing safe and healthy environments for youth and adults participating in the 4-H program. Minnesota 4-H volunteers must successfully complete the volunteer screening process (application, background check and orientation/Safety of Minors training which explains the policies, expectations, and vision of serving as a 4-H volunteer) to serve in this role.
