We’re a nonprofit social welfare organization aiming to achieve equality for the LGBTQIA community in education and healthcare. Currently, many gay and bisexual men aren’t allowed to donate blood, and our nation’s public-school system still routinely undervalues or even ignores issues regarding the community, whether it’s history or family life education. Our organization is lobbying policymakers and educating the public on these issues, and we are asking for help from people like you. If you’ve got a tight schedule, you may consider donating instead!

WE ARE CURRENTLY IN NEED OF THREE POSITIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Finance Director:California branch of Homoglobin seeks candidate to fill the role of STATE FINANCIAL DIRECTOR. Candidates should be passionate about philanthropy and knowledgeable about the California state government and financial management. Ability to work both independently and on a team is critical. A background in financial work is appreciated, but not imperative. Recruitment and Outreach Director: California branch of Homoglobin seeks a passionate candidate with strong communication skills to fulfill the role of Recruitment Director. Candidates should have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to strategically identify regions and candidates of interest throughout California. The Recruitment Director is responsible for reaching out to new candidates for the California state team, as well as working with more local LGBTQ+ advocates for different events and opportunities. Leadership background is appreciated, but not required. Events Director: California branch of Homoglobin seeks a passionate candidate with strong planning and outreach skills to fulfill the role of Events Director. Candidates should have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to plan and execute different digital and physical advocacy and educational events throughout California. The Events Director will work directly under the Director of Operations and will have direct guidance and assistance whenever needed. Leadership background is appreciated, but not required.
