Purpose of this Position

This position is responsible for supporting coordination between the Red Cross and
Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center (KACC), building a sustainable volunteer team
of both licensed and non-licensed volunteers to work within the KACC, and serve as
a leader for the volunteers and our military partners.

Key Responsibilities

* Supports and acts on behalf of the local Red Cross
* Ensure all potential Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center (KACC) volunteers are
registered with the local Red Cross unit, receive training on base, are assisted with
placement and receive information on volunteer opportunities with the Regional
Red Cross office.
* Act as liaison between the KACC and the local Red Cross
* Promote the recruitment of volunteers and donations of material resources in
accordance with facility needs
* Attend and participate in meetings as needed
* Facilitate volunteer placement in coordination with the KACC Program Manager
and workplace supervisor and assist KACC staff when an affiliated volunteer must
be removed for cause
* Maintain records and submit reports as required by the Red Cross

Qualifications Required

* American Red Cross Orientation
* Successfully achieve a Red Cross background check
* Kimbrough MEDDAC Orientation
* Broad understanding of the American Red Cross and its opportunities for
volunteer service
* Basic computer and organizational skills
* Ability to communicate and work with other leaders in a management team
relationship
* Ability to show initiative and work independently
* Program management experience is a plus but not required
* Must be able to achieve a successful KACC check/security badging check if
required
