HabiStore is Habitat For Humanity's retail store selling lightly used home furnishing supplies including furniture, appliances, tolls and more! Our Habistore gives a second life to items, saving them from landfills and givs someone the opportunity to improve their home for less.

We provide three 4.5 hour shifts per day for volunteers Monday through Saturday (8:30am-1pm, 10:30am-3pm, and 12:30pm-5pm).

The Front Door Greeter is a nice compliment to the sales floor team as you will assist the sales floor team in greeting customers as they walk into the store, remind folks to wear their masks, offer hand sanitizer if needed, help point customers to certain areas of the store if asked, keep carts sanitized or other small areas. This position is expected to perform all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner to achieve a safe and positive customer experience and ensure the continual improvement of the HabiStore reputation, productivity and profitability.

Volunteers perform duties such as:

• Welcome guest and provide an excellent customer service experience and greet every customer in a helpful, courteous manner by sharing discounts, upcoming store sales, educating new customers on discounts, store layout and sales process.
• Ensure they are wearing their masks and offer hand sanitizer as needed
• Keep shopping carts sanitized t/o your shift
• Collect carts from parking lot when store is slow
• Completing sanitation checklist- front door, cashier station, break room, volunteer office and restrooms during down time

• Perform other tasks as assigned

Volunteers are able to select the shifts that work best for their schedule and there is flexibility on volunteer day and times! All volunteers are required to attend a short 1 hour training before volunteering for a full shift.
