As vital members of our patient care team, volunteers are needed to make phone calls to every in-home patient to ensure they have the medications and supplies needed to see them through the weekend. Spend each Thursday - just one day per week - in our office offering peace of mind to our patients and their families.
All volunteers receive excellent initial and ongoing training and support, as well as required TB screening and background checks, absolutely free. As volunteer staff, earn school community service hours and obtain professional employment references.
Heartland Hospice and its staff adhere to COVID-19 guidelines and take every precaution possible to ensure everyone's safety. Anyone entering our offices must be willing to have their temperature taken, wear a mask, disinfect their hands, and maintain social distancing.
