Are you looking for an opportunity to be a positive role model in a young person’s life and support the refugee population in Nashville? Apply to be a Refugee Youth Mentor today!
Here at Catholic Charities, we are launching a new College Prep Refugee Youth Mentoring Program catered to the needs of youth and young adults ages 15-24 who are working towards their educational and career goals. We are seeking caring mentors who can work with mentees on goal-setting, academic help and college application support, and social-emotional learning. You will receive training before being matched as well as ongoing support from Catholic Charities staff for the duration of your mentorship.
Hours are flexible, and virtual or in-person options are available!
Requirements:
· Be at least 21 years old
· Commit to 6 months of mentoring for 1-2 hours/week
· Background check and pre-match training
· Sincere desire to be a supportive figure in the life of a refugee youth
· Respect people of different cultural backgrounds
