Become a Hospice Volunteer! Ambercare invites you to bring your warmth and presence to a patient in hospice. Hospice Volunteers offer their skills in listening, empathy, and companionship to patients and families during the profound period of transition that is the end of life. Volunteer requirements include 18 years of age, Volunteers must have a valid NM Driver's license, valid auto insurance. Clear a criminal background check, TB and drug test also required and must have proof of Covid 19 Vaccine. Hospice volunteers offer their skills in listening, empathy and companionship to patients and families during the profound period of transition that is the end of life. As a hospice volunteer you can make a difference in simple ways: our volunteers might play chess, read aloud, take walks, or watch old movies with their patients. Please join our skilled and compassionate team of caregivers and become part of our dynamic community of volunteers.
