Love to read? Love kiddos? Volunteer Reading Mentors are needed for children in grade 3 to assist in developing the students reading skills and increasing their confidence to be successful in advancing in school and life. Grade 3 is a critical grade level; it is said that you learn to read up and into 3rd grade and from then on, you read to learn. Our children must develop their reading skills to be successful in their future.
Read Jackson County makes volunteering fun and easy. Volunteers are provided with all the training and materials needed and the opportunity isn't only flexible, it's extremely rewarding to know you are making a positive impact in the life of a child! In as little as 45 minutes a week, you can help to build a child up, creating an opportunity for them to overcome a challenge and believe in their abilities!
Benefits to you? Improve your professional development skills such as leadership, presentation, and time management. It will connect you with the greater community and give you a sense of satisfaction! For more information on the impact Read Jackson County has on the community, visit www.readjacksoncunty.com.
You can contact Anne Staley, Executive Director at rjcpldirector@gmail.com
