The MWNF Team
The MWNF Team after a meeting with the partners of the "Sharing History" project, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Museum With No Frontiers has set up the first and so far only truly multinational museum presenting artefacts from countries all around the world. Our Partner institutions, most museums but also libraries, are responsible for the selection of the artefacts and for their description and illustration, following the guidelines provided by MWNF. The MWNF team takes care of copy-editing and data upload. For our new Discover Glass Art Gallery http://glass.museumwnf.org/ we are looking for a person to help with Partnership development and follow up. The person would work in close cooperation with the MWNF management and, ideally, should dispose of the following knowledge:
Being familiar with museums
Being familiar with Glass art or being interested specifically in this form of art
Very good general knowledge
Good writing style
Very good MWNF team internal communication
Most contacts can be established in English but also other languages are welcome.
Time management is highly flexible, whereby we will give preference to candidates who could commit for at least one year.

The person will have to search for museums hosting significant glass collections and would then be in charge of getting in touch and propose participation in Discover Glass Art.

We look forward to welcome you to the MWNF team.

Please send your CV / profile when you reply to this post.

Mission Statement

Museum With No Frontiers (MWNF) builds bridges through knowledge and understanding. MWNF has 20 years of experience in "rewriting history" beyond narrow nationalist agendas and promoting a new, inclusive vision of history that highlights exchanges and cooperation between cultures in areas as diverse as archaeology, art and culture, economy and social life. Against the backdrop of contemporary global challenges and conflicts, MWNF projects demonstrate the far-reaching potential of cultural heritage in building intercultural bridges in the name of peace.

Description

Museum With No Frontiers (MWNF) was founded in 1994. Since the beginning, the idea was to overcome any kind of conventional 'border' and to create an exhibition space where well-known and unknown, small and large, secure and insecure, rich and poor could not only coexist but would complement each other, generating mutual benefit for all concerned.

The MWNF program is built around two main activities: the MWNF Virtual Museum including different thematic sections and the MWNF travel guides, focusing on little known aspects of cultural heritage.

MWNF is an independent non-profit organization, relying mainly on volunteer resources. The legal seat is established in Vienna, Austria.

The network set up by MWNF includes public and private Partners from all around the world.
