ORGANIZATION: Fargo VA Health Care System

The Fargo VA is seeking to recruit volunteers who are eager to provide Veterans with world-class customer service.

Essential Duties of the Red Coat Ambassador:

-Greet Veterans and guests and provide a warm, welcoming first impression of the VA
-Physically escort Veterans and guests to appointments
-Provide wayfinding directions as needed
-Respond to requests for patient transports from various departments
-Routinely sanitize wheelchairs after Veteran use with provided cleaner

This exciting and fast-paced opportunity will require volunteers whom are energetic, patient-centered, flexible and have excellent verbal communication skills.

This position also requires that volunteers are capable of standing for extended periods and able to push a wheelchair.


Current openings:

Wednesday 11am - 3pm
Thursdays 8am - 12pm
Fridays 11am - 3pm

Substitutes or those with flexible schedules are always needed and appreciated!

*The Fargo VA has a 50 hour lifetime volunteer requirement, and all volunteers must pass a background check, submit to a TB test, and obtain a flu shot prior to volunteering.
