Volunteers Are The Heart of Hospice

Heartland Hospice is a non profit organization that services Tucson and Green Valley areas. We believe our mission is to enrich lives. That begins with every life we encounter. Volunteers are very important in order to serve our patients.

We are looking for a person who can assist in the Volunteer Department creating zoom training for volunteers. Because of COVID many volunteers would like to do their in service education and volunteer training by zoom. An example of a training that needs to be created on zoom is "COVID and PPE training". "Understanding Grief and Loss", Hand Hygiene", Safety In Service".

We are very flexible on working with your schedule to work together in creating these zoom services. Our volunteers are the heart of Heartland and our goal is to make it easier from them to train and receive the educational materials they need to prepare them to volunteer in hospice.

For more information, please contact Genie Patterson, Volunteer Coordinator at 520-325-2790 or email at genie.patterson@HCR-manorcare.com

Mission Statement

We believe our mission is to enrich lives. That begins with every life we encounter: Our employees, our patients, and those who love and care for them, the communities in which we operate, our stakeholders and those who are yet to become our customers.

Description

Heartland Hospice is a 501(3)(c) organization made up of a dedicated team of Nurses, Home Health Aides, Spiritual Coordinators, Social Workers, Bereavement support, Medical Directors, office staff, and volunteers that desire to give a full circle of care to patients with advanced stage illnesses.

Volunteers are the most important component in helping the staff give a full circle of care to our clients. They can visit clients in their home or facility, give caregiver relief, make crafts and gifts items for the clients, office support, and much more...

Without volunteers our clients would lack in receiving the love and care they need during their most difficult journey.
