Villa 1 Community Development, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to empower low to moderate income families through social services and community building while creating and preserving quality affordable housing communities. We are currently assisting families in the Metro-Atlanta by currently providing mobile services in communities significantly affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. The Community Events Coordinator will assist with logistics of event activities, such as community meetings, tracking, decor and theme of events, auctions, shipping of event materials, and other activities. Assist the team in reviewing and making recommendations for contracts as they relate to events. Responsibilities include coordination of marketing needs, catering, transportation, and accommodations. Responsible for pre and post-event information on social media. Manage and maintain processing forms for donations received. Provide Web Department event updates for event pages and social media outlets. This volunteer position is for someone who wants to gain some hands-on experience in the events industry, or as an unpaid internship in coordination with the applicant’s school. We require a minimum of 25 volunteer hours per month, with a flexible schedule and all work can be done remotely.
