OUR MISSION
Immigrant Care is a social Tech non-profit organization dedicated to enabling refugees and undocumented immigrants to get access to affordable healthcare.

Because of Covid-19, we have developed a telehealth mobile application that refugees and undocumented immigrants can use to reach doctors that want to help their communities, with total confidentiality while paying pre-negotiated very affordable rates.
Our plan consists of launching our mobile application in the Latino American community of the NY metropolitan area. But our goal is to serve ALL communities in need across the United States, and maybe the World!
Now more than ever, essential workers are making it possible for Americans to stay safe at home now during COVID-19. Many undocumented workers comprise this essential frontline workforce but they have challenges accessing healthcare. They need your help!
We are looking for a VOLUNTEER MANAGER that can help us to develop this project.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Volunteer Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Volunteer program, including recruitment, training, and scheduling of individual and group volunteers and interns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess interests/skills of volunteers and match them with appropriate activities.
- Maintain a volunteer database.
- Engage with existing volunteers daily and provide feedback and additional guidance as needed.
- Maintain ongoing communications with volunteers through automated emails, newsletters, and print materials.
- Create an onboarding toolkit and Training plan.
- Work closely with all program managers to periodically assess needs for volunteer expertise and level of volunteer staffing
REQUIREMENTS
- Entrepreneurial mindset.
- Communication skills.
- Writing skills.
- Non-profit experience a plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We are a very lean social tech non-profit startup. At the moment this is a non-paid position. Once we start operating and getting donations, we will transition this position from volunteer to paid staff.
Please note - this is a partly remote and unpaid volunteer position with a weekly time commitment of 10 hours. We are flexible and will work with your schedule.
