Gardener for Community Center

ORGANIZATION: CHARLOTTE MECKLENBURG POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE INC

  • 6 people are interested

We are a non profit that works primarily with youth in underserved communities. We are situated in an old community center in the historic Greenville neighborhood. We believe that one's environment affects their mood, attitude and ability to learn. At the moment, the building looks very institutional and we want to change that. We would love the help of someone with a green thumb to help plan and facilitate a green campaign for PAL. We want plants and foliage and fun facts about what is around the facility. If you are interested or know anyone who is, please reach out.

This would be an ongoing opportunity coming in once or twice a month to check up on plants, switch out any needed plants and so forth. We currently have brussel sprouts, collard greens and some herbs planted. We have our fingers crossed that something comes of it.
