Project for Family Service Association (FSA)
Who: Family Service Association delivers meals to community seniors who are unable to get out of their homes due to illness, incapacity, disability or restrictions from COVID-19.
Seniors, who live in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, will appreciate a cheerful greeting card along with their home-delivered meal.
What: Cards with artwork, designs or crafty graphics are appreciated. It is OK to use stickers, decals or other safe craft supplies that adequately stick to the card. (Please NO glitter or confetti.) Adults, teens or children can make the cards.
Greeting: Cards may have a simple greeting (such as Have a Great Day, Thinking of You, A Smile from My House to Yours, You’re Amazing, etc.) or a philosophical quotation. These are NOT Get Well cards. They are cards to cheer up seniors who may be even more alone during COVID-19.
Size: Any size card is good that is not larger than an 8½" X 11"sheet of paper. (2 cards or 4 postcard-size cards made from one 8 1/2" X 11" sheet is great.) No envelope is needed.
Signing cards: If you like, you may sign your FIRST name or the name of your GROUP but do NOT include personal information about yourself (address, etc.)
Other items: We have some Spanish-speaking clients, so bilingual cards are also needed. Bookmarks are also appreciated and Crossword/Sudoku magazines.
Where to Deliver: Contact the FSA Volunteer Program Manager for delivery information to our main Moreno Valley site or to determine the closest center near your location for pick-up. FSA serves the majority of Riverside and San Bernardino counties (excluding the desert).
