Grants Research Officer - This individual will report directly to our Director of Development and will assist with grant research and general administrative duties to include but not limited to direct mail, managing appointment calendar, and scheduling meetings with donors. Five (5) to 10 hours per week is the desired commitment for this position.
Drafts and submits proposals to apply for financial grants from government departments, foundations and other agencies. Researches the grant opportunities from various donors in order to determine the eligibility criteria and identify grants that are worth pursuing. Prepares l supporting documents for a proposal, such as cover letter, endorsement letter, document describing how the funds will be used, etc. and follows up on a proposal and responds to donors’ queries.
