VIRTUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE STUDENTS

Conversations To Remember is looking for high school & college students who want to volunteer with our charity. Once a week 2 or 3 students engage in a video call with a senior citizen who is in an assisted living facility. Most of the residents that we are working with have some form of cognitive decline. Students will attend a virtual training, and then participate in mock virtual visits before doing it themselves. The calls last about an hour, and we have 2 or 3 students doing it together. During the virtual visit, students don't have to be physically together, they can each be on their own device.

Since COVID-19 these residents have been unable to leave the facilities or have many (if any) visitors. They are lonely, and enjoy speaking with students.
