Visiting Neighbors is in search of caring and individuals interested in serving as a Board Member. The candidate needs to be someone interested in the well being of older adults and believes in our mission of enabling individuals age 60+ to remain independent and safe in their own homes.

Board Members responsibilities include: attending bi-monthly meetings(currently via Zoom), reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to the meetings, be a team player, as well as have the ability to follow through with a task independently, have a compassionate personality, have excellent communication skills and participate in the organization's events. The Board of Directors currently has a give or get policy for financial obligations. Visiting Neighbors carries Board and Officers liability insurance.

We are seeking new members with expertise in the following categories: accounting/finance, publicity, social media, information technology, event planning, artistic talent(graphics or photography, corporate and public relations, or knowledge of legal matters). The ideal member will be committed to the organization's policies and programs, support fundraising events, assist in identifying and/or securing resources and be an advocate for Visiting Neighbors in the community at large.
