Our growing volunteer program makes sure that patients, as well as their families, know that they are valued and supported.
We have opportunities to work with patients or behind the scenes - even working remotely from your home. We would also love to include veteran volunteers to speak to our veteran patients as no one else can.

Description
Hospice provides support and care for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as a part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life. Hospice affirms life, and neither hastens nor postpones death. Hospice focuses on caring, not curing and in most cases care is provided in the patients home, which enables families to stay together in peace, comfort and dignity.

- It is completely up to you. You decide the best days and the best times. You can volunteer as little or as much as you want. We do request 4-8 hours a month minimum.
- Background checks and 1 tb blood test (paid for by Amedisys) plus all the training you need to be successful!
