The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is seeking a volunteer serve as Program Assistant to perform various administrative tasks. If you are task-oriented, enjoy customer service, and like working in a friendly office environment then volunteering in a clerical capacity may be a good fit for you.
The Assisted and Community Residential Services (ACRS) team, serves people with developmental/intellectual disabilities in a residential program.
As a volunteer Program Assistant, you would assist the Assistant Director with administrative responsibilities to support the program. Volunteer duties in this area can range from tasks such as: making phone calls; data entry; filing resident document; organizing materials and assembling packets; identifying resources for referral and navigation; and other duties as assigned.
The volunteer would assist 10-15 hours per week. Hours are flexible but are during normal business hours (8am-4pm). There are no evening or weekend hours available.
Skills and Qualifications
- Basic familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office.
- Must pass all background checks and complete all trainings.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Description
When you join our volunteer team, you will receive training, supervision, diverse educational experiences, and opportunities for personal growth. Various positions are available throughout Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The times and days available are flexible and include some evening and weekend opportunities, as well as regular weekday hours. By providing direct service, administrative support, or participating in special projects, volunteers are valuable members of our team.
