SAFE PASSAGES

Image_202010151552

With families being affected by covid-19, food distribution has taken a more prevalent part in Safe Passages. Students have various needs that need to be met in order for them to succeed academically. As a result, we give hundreds of bags of food to the students’ families.

We are currently seeking volunteers who can assist in the process of food distribution. We have positions including shopping, transportation, unloading, bagging, and distribution with transportation being the highest need.

We look forward to working with you!

Specific Duties

Transportation : We’re looking for people who can drive and take the food from the food bank to school sites. As a result, people will need drivers licenses and either have a truck or a crossover.

Unloading : Unload boxes of food from cars once they have arrived at the school sites. You have to be able to carry boxes up to 50 lbs.

Bagging : Help us put bags of food together so the bags are ready for people to pick them up.

Distribution : Greet people and give them food.

*These tasks tend to happen in the mornings on weekdays.*
