With families being affected by covid-19, food distribution has taken a more prevalent part in Safe Passages. Students have various needs that need to be met in order for them to succeed academically. As a result, hundreds of bags of food are given to the students’ families.
We are currently seeking volunteers who can help Wednesday mornings (10am-12pm). This opportunity is great for college students who seek service hours for classes, adults who are interested in food security, people who are passionate about education or individuals who want to volunteer their time to support the community.
Bagging : Help us put bags of food together so food is ready for families to pick up.

Safe Passages envisions a community where all young people have the opportunity to realize their full potential. Safe Passages is based on the premises that access to educational opportunity, health services, and family support should not be dictated by race or socio-economic status, and that healthy and supported young people are better prepared to learn and succeed.
Safe Passages disrupts the cycle of poverty by engaging youth and families to build and drive a continuum of services that supports student success and community development.
