Mission Statement
We are A Better Way to Care. For those interested in making a difference in end-of-life care for patients, our hospice volunteers are there to provide companionship and support to patients in their final months and weeks of life. Our hospice volunteers also provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you have options about how often you help and the activities you complete. While a variety of options exist, Enhabit volunteers provide many of the following: Companionship and socialization Run errands for patients and families Walk or care for family pets Play games and/or read, listen to music or watch tv with patients. Help with light housekeeping Create photo albums of patients and their families. Write a journal or life story with patients as a gift to their families.
