Marin Villages

Marin Villages is actively recruiting new volunteers who are passionate about supporting older adults, our most vulnerable population, especially during this pandemic. Volunteers take on assignments normally asked of friends, family members or neighbors. We need volunteers to drive our members to vital medical appointments, pick up groceries or prescriptions, and to make friendly phone calls to the members, as they are lonely and isolated due to the shelter in place. There are no set schedules - you sign up for assignments that fit your life. Please join us in making a major difference in the lives of older adults in Marin!

About Marin Villages

Location:

4340 Redwood Highway, Suite F-142, SAN RAFAEL, CA 94903, US

Mission Statement

What We Do: Marin Villages is dedicated to helping older adults stay active, connected and independent in the place they call home. We are powered through our volunteer network that works to build community through social and educational events, delivery of volunteer assistance, and individual aid in accessing vetted help and services. We are active throughout Marin, except in Sausalito and West Marin. Who We Are: We are looking for volunteers who can directly assist seniors and/or work with our organization to grow and build our presence in Marin County. Our volunteer services range from providing rides to tutoring on computers and smart phones; from being walking companions, to helping with pets during a pinch. In addition, our volunteers plan events, outings and educational programs. We have very flexible time commitments and assign opportunities based on our volunteers' interests. All volunteers have background checks and those who drive will also have a DMV check. Visit our website to download a volunteer application or call us at 415-457-4633 to request the forms.
