Walkers

Help the Arthritis Foundation plan the annual Walk to Cure Arthritis! Let us know if this is something you might be interested in! We typically meet once a month (either in person or on the phone) with the rest of the committee. :)

The committee will help with:

  • Community Outreach (help us get out into the community and let them know about the Walk)
  • Sponsorship (know any businesses or companies that want to get involved?)
  • Event logistics (help us get entertainment, create the Kids area, and fun day of experiences and MORE!)
This is a fun way to get involved with the community and an awesome resume builder!

Mission Statement

To improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control, and cure of arthritis and related diseases.

Description

The Arthritis Foundation provides free literature, community education and evidenced-based programs. We provide a network of support for patients with arthritis, especially focusing on children living with the chronic pain of arthritis. The single largest event is the Arthritis Walk held each year in May. We also host a small golf tournament each year to support our juvenile arthritis activities. We work with with elected officials and help drive our volunteers to advocate on behalf of all persons living with the 100 forms of arthritis.
