The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is seeking a volunteer serve as Office Aide to perform various administrative tasks. If you are task-oriented, enjoy customer service, and like working in a friendly office environment then volunteering in a clerical capacity may be a good fit for you.

The Mental Health Docket, a subgroup of our Jail Based Services team, identifies people with mental health issues who are in the criminal justice system, to participate in a treatment program.

As a volunteer Office Aide, you would assist with administrative responsibilities to support our staff who work on the Mental Health Docket. Volunteer duties in this area can range from tasks such as: making phone calls; data entry; filing court document; organizing materials and assembling packets; identifying resources for referral and navigation; and other duties as assigned.

The volunteer would assist 10-15 hours per week. Hours are flexible but are during normal business hours (8am-4pm). There are no evening or weekend hours available.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Must pass all background checks and complete all trainings.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Various positions are available throughout Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The times and days available are flexible and include some evening and weekend opportunities, as well as regular weekday hours. By providing direct service, administrative support, or participating in special projects, volunteers are valuable members of our team.
