*PLEASE NOTE: If the volunteer is under the age of 18, an adult will need to be with him or her while on the property. Please ensure to enter a valid email address, as we do send out any important information by email. This event is rain or shine. If it is un-safe and there is heavy rain and thunderstorms, we will cancel. If it is light rain, we will continue the volunteer day.

Second Saturdays at the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center's Living Classroom. Our organic garden and citrus orchard sustained damage in the Canyon Fire 2 in October 2017. It will take a village to restore our grove and transform it into a thriving Food Forest that meets human needs while protecting ecosystem health and maximizing biodiversity.

Join us and be a friend of the Food Forest! We need plenty of tender loving care, positive vibes, and fun service work - this event is recurring and we hope you'll join us to continue our restoration of this incredible living classroom which supports the outdoor learning of thousands of school children each year.

Please wear long pants, boots or sturdy shoes with a hard sole, and bring a long sleeved shirt to protect from sun or for comfort while moving mulch.

Bring a face covering, work gloves, hat, sunglasses, suncreen, and a water bottle to refill from our ice water coolers!

An email will also go out two days before with important information and the gate code & directions.

Please email info@iroec.org with questions.
