ORGANIZATION: On Point for College

OPFC has newly awarded grant funding which has allowed us to dedicate resources to expand our volunteer program across all of the counties in which we serve. We are seeking individuals who are positioned with the knowledge, experience, and ability to act as a community liaison during our period of growth. This may include acting as a supporter of our mission at a community event, bridging introductions for staff, or building relationships with organizations to help us identify students in need of our services.

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month.

Requirements: Requires a high understanding of the OPFC mission. Ideal candidates for this role would live, work, or spend time in the counties we serve: Cayuga, Cortland, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, and/ or Oswego.

Description

On Point for College is a not-for-profit education and career attainment support program established in 1999. We aid individuals in overcoming the barriers to post-secondary education by helping them access and succeed in college and training and certificate programs.

We also help them leverage their skills and educations into meaningful employment opportunities. Since 1999, volunteers have played a critical role in making it possible for On Point to help more than 10,000 individuals pursue their dreams of higher education.
