Encompass Hospice is looking to recruit a volunteer that would be capable of assisting with lawn or home care for patients and their families. While our caregivers are devoting so much time to caring for their family members, things like lawn and home care frequently get pushed aside. The right candidate would have their own lawnmower and tools that they are able to transport to houses. You determine your availability, including how far you are willing to go, what you can do, and how frequently. A freshly mowed lawn or an improved wheelchair ramp could feel life-changing for some families.

Description
Encompass Health is looking for administrative and direct patient care volunteers to provide companionship to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
We are also interested in volunteers who could perform music, direct art therapy, and much more. The opportunities for volunteers are nearly endless.
