Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions

Do you have days where you’re just not feeling great? Our cats do, too! Sometimes felines in our care need some extra help to feel their best. Our medical team is the frontline in helping them get there. Happy and healthy kitties lead to quicker adoptions! We are always in need of Feline Medical Team volunteers that are comfortable with responsibilities including:

  • Administering oral medications, liquid and/or pills
  • Monitoring cats for wounds or signs of illness
  • Cleaning and refilling food/water bowls, changing bedding, spot cleaning environment

We have morning and night shifts available to fit your schedule and will provide 100% of the training needed for this position. All we ask is volunteers are:

  • Fit to stand, squat, bend, twist, and lift
  • Experienced in cat handling and behaviors - or open to and interested to know more!
  • Able to use chemical cleaning solutions (to clean and disinfect the facility)
  • Comfortable handling cats with sometimes contagious diagnoses (full PPE is always provided!)

There’s no way to spice up what the medial team does, yet it’s one of the most important things we do for our cats. Making sure our cats are comfy, healthy, and loved as they wait for their families is our number one goal - and we need you to do it. Visit homewardboundcats.org to learn more about us and fill out a volunteer application!
