Red Cross Hurricane Delta Response
Thousands of people are still in emergency lodgings because of Hurricane Laura, and now they face the potential of more destruction from Delta, with tens of thousands of people ordered to evacuate again.
Over 650 Red Cross disaster volunteers are present virtually and in person to support relief efforts. As disasters are colliding in a pandemic it is in these moments, more than ever, we see the need for the power of volunteerism in our own backyards.
Right here in Indiana, there are 2-4 home fires which occur daily. Volunteers are needed to provide comfort and meet disaster caused needs. Bring your passion and become a volunteer to turn tragedy into hope after a disaster.
