What we're looking for:

Internships and Volunteer positions are offered to professionals and current undergraduate and graduate students with a strong academic background and an interest in global public health, NGO management, international healthcare management, social anthropology, psychology or sustainable development.

You will work alongside and learn from a team of international development practitioners with extensive experience in social protection, social development, gender and social inclusion, livelihoods, global public health, and research in an organisation that works across South Asia.

Each internship is structured to suit the needs and interests of the intern, such as working on individual research assignments, and will additionally support the India and USA teams of the Tare Zameen Foundation. Interns may also have the opportunity to participate in the formulation of grant applications, corporate proposals or papers, depending on circumstances.

Successful intern and volunteer candidates will work across the following teams:

  • Research, Social Policy, Grant Writing
  • Programme Management
  • Human Resources: People & Culture
  • Digital communications (Twitter, LinkedIn etc.)
  • Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
  • Strategic Partnerships

Interns/Volunteers will support each of the teams by engaging in various tasks that will expand your understanding of The Foundation’s position within the international development sector: from researching prospective grant opportunities and major gift donors to providing digital communications support, researching prospective partnerships, administrative tasks, event planning and writing news articles.

Benefits:

  • Mentorship and networking opportunities
  • Certificate and a Letter of Recommendation on completion of the internship
