Content & Social Media Manager

Job Brief

We are looking for a talented Content & Social Media Manager to manage our social media accounts. The candidate will be responsible for creating and distributing original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. The candidate will manage the organization's image in a cohesive way to achieve marketing goals.

The Content & Social Media Manager should be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to express the organization's views creatively.

Ultimately, the candidate should be able to handle the organization's social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and TGC Collective audience preferences
  • Design and implement a cohesive social media strategy to align with the organisation’s goals and interests
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Programs to ensure brand consistency and message alignment
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor stakeholder reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, blog layout and newsletters)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness (promotions, competitions, etc.)
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Solid knowledge of SEO and keyword research
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Familiarity with web design and creative design tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • BS degree in Marketing, Communications or relevant field
