This opportunity allows individuals to work closely with our bereavement coordinator by assisting with phone calls to family members who have lost their loved ones. Other bereavement opportunities include participating in ongoing bereavement support (groups or individuals) as well as celebration of life (memorial) services. Bereavement volunteers also visit grieving family members to provide a listening ear, uplifting support and assistance with the grief process.
Ongoing training and guidance are provided to the bereavement volunteers to enhance their experience and the support they offer to bereaved families.
