Forgotten Angels Equine Rescue is currently seeking grant writers. This is an ongoing opportunity. We are seeking grants for our normal day to day operation costs, and for emergencies and various events/projects that arise. Our organization is 100% volunteer based. This year we were forced to cancel our normal spring and summer fundraisers due to covid.
If this is an opportunity that you are interested in, we encourage you to visit faernj.com/about to learn more about our organization.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Mission Statement
Each year 125,000 horses are shipped to our borders where they are slaughtered for their meat which is sold in Asian and European markets. These animals have been abandoned...many are babies; some are sick, starving, badly neglected and are dumped in the auction kill pens. We go there and acquire as many as we can afford and bring them back to our stable. We nurture and rehabilitate these animals and restore their health and spirit, then we find them good, loving homes. We're making a difference, one horse at a time.
Description
We have been operating the stable for five years and in that time we have saved over 300 (horses, minis, donkeys, and ponies). 2019 was a trendsetting year for us. We were the driving force behind and new law enacted in the state of New Jersey that provides protection for horses from ending up at slaughter auctions. We recently teamed up with Spectracare to create a Equine Therapy Program for Veterans.
