Every night of the year, we have a volunteer group provide and serve dinner to our newest residents, those in the Intake and Access Center(IAC). These residents have been here anywhere from 1 day to 2 months. This is a great opportunity for families (including children) and small groups to interact with our new residents and experience first-hand, the impact serving others has for the 20 - 50 residents (half are children) living here.

In order to respect and accommodate your different comfort levels with returning to in-person volunteering, on your dinner date, you can chose to provide and serve dinner in one of three ways:
1. In person while following the new safety precautions listed and attached
2. Driving through and dropping off dinner at the IAC
3. Sending a food delivery order to the IAC

Please let us know prior to your serve date, which way you will be serving.

NEW IAC DINNER POLICIES:

  1. All meals/food should be purchased, already prepared (ex. rotisserie chicken, pizza, frozen lasagna), or should be purchased from a licensed kitchen (restaurants) or should be put together on site (ex. making the salad). Unfortunately, we are unable to allow home cooked meals (see attachment for ideas).
  2. Before serving, Volunteers will be required to complete a temperature check at the IAC, as well as wear a mask and gloves while serving.
  3. Before serving at the IAC, Volunteers will sign an additional waiver related to COVID’19
  4. Dinner will be served in an outdoor area.
  5. Hand sanitizer will be readily available at both the volunteer check-in and serving
