  • 9 people are interested

With Covid19 still here, we know you want to volunteer but want to stay in your own home. WE are looking for anyone that can sew, crochet, make cards or other projects in your own home and bring into our office. Lap quilts or blankets are always needed for our Veterans. Cards are perfect for our patients, family and caregivers. Other projects always need volunteers to complete.

If you are interested please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to share your thoughts and craft know how!

Mission Statement

AseraCare Hospice serves to focus our available resources to meet the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of our patients and families with a sense of compassion and dignity. We express this through ongoing gentle acts of kindness and sympathy. We preserve the dignity of death for our patients and families by making pain management, comfort and quality of life our primary goals. AseraCare Hospice believes that through compassionate support and the promotion of a caring environment, patients and families may be able to attain a degree of mental and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them.

Description

AseraCare is a leading provider of home healthcare and hospice services, focused on providing professional and personalized care for each and every patient in the comfort of his or her home. Our patients are the number one reason we are here and our commitment is to care for you or your loved ones as we would our own.

A hospice volunteer is a special part of the hospice team. If you have a desire to make a difference in the lives of the terminally ill or those who are grieving by giving of your time to assist a patient, family member, or our office staff, then you have the qualities we're looking for in our volunteers. Volunteering includes making scrap books, blankets, cards, treats, reading, writing, visiting, and much much more.

New hospice volunteers participate in free training that provides information regarding the hospice philosophy of care.
