Event Description:
Join Sanderford Road Park in hosting a fun evening of trunk or treating! This year's event will be a little different - it will be a drive-though, but we want to provide a fun atmosphere for the community.

Duties:
Volunteers will use their own vehicle and decorate their trunk to create a display for those who drive through. Sanderford Road staff will provide treats. Please decorate your trunk in a family-friendly, fall/Halloween theme for this event family-friendly costumes are encouraged.

Impact:
Volunteers will have the opportunity to provide a fun, Fall atmosphere for all families participating in this event.

Work Environment:
This event will take place outside at the Sanderford Road Community Center parking lot.

Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to participate. All volunteers will need to fill out a release form. If under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign this form as well.

Other Instructions:
Volunteers may dress up in their own family-friendly costume to wear throughout the event.

COVID-19 Policy:
Volunteers and staff must follow the COVID-19 policies below so that projects are safe for everyone.

  • Social distancing must be practiced (6-feet between individuals)
  • Individuals must participate in infrared temperature checks upon arrival
  • Everyone must wear a face mask or face shield (not provided)
  • State, federal, and local mandates must be followed
  • If you have been out of state two weeks prior to the event, please do not register

Group Registration Information:
Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. A group leader must email rachel.vannoordt@raleighnc.gov to register. All groups will be required to provide a list of names and emails for their volunteers.

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.

Join Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department's Volunteer Program and make a difference in your community. You may volunteer as an individual or as part of a group on a one-time or ongoing basis. There are many opportunities for individuals, groups, students and businesses to contribute to our quality programs and facilities. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
