Work one-on-one with Kearns Jr. High students who need a little extra support in math!
Students who are at grade level math in 8th grade are more likely to graduate and go on to a post-secondary opportunity after high school.
Volunteers will each meet virtually one-on-one with two students for a 30 minute session each on Thursdays from 8:30-9:30 a.m. The students will be working on a virtual math platform and volunteers will support them as they work through problems.
Our mission is to improve lives and build strong communities by uniting individuals and organizations with the will, passion, expertise, and resources needed to solve problems.
To change the odds , we focus on advancing the education, income stability, and health of our neighborhoods and communities. These are the building blocks for a good life--a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. Our goal is to create self-reliance by ensuring that every child succeeds, every step of the way, from cradle to career.
