Due to the great impact of COVID-19, many of our patients were greatly affected because facilities are not allowing visitations for individuals who are not considered "essential workers". Our patients truly appreciated, and sometimes relied on visits from our volunteers to boost up their moral which improved overall health. To combat the changes forced upon us due to covid, Catholic Hospice has created a virtual opportunity to visit and communicate with patients virtually through platforms, such as, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Virtual session would last between 30 minutes to an hour depending on the arrangement made be volunteer coordinator for Catholic Hospice, volunteer, and patient. If you are a people person and love to get to know someone, then this opportunity is for you.
If interested, please contact the volunteer department at volunteerservices@catholichospice.org and our volunteer coordinator will respond to your inquiry within 48 hours.
