Position Description
To keep our staff and clients safe and healthy during COVID-19, we must continually screen any guests entering our building. Relying on staff to accomplish this takes away valuable time that can be better spent advocating for clients and ensuring that our programs run smoothly. Because of this, we are in search of volunteers to staff our front desk and screen potential visitors for signs/symptoms of COVID-19.
Tasks/Duties
Volunteers will work in shifts to:
- Supervise the front desk
- Remind visitors to wear masks
- Take and record visitor temperatures
- Ask and record symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, coughing/sneezing, shortness of breath, and sore throat
Time Commitment
We are currently looking for volunteers every day of the work week, 9am to 5pm. Volunteers are not required to stay for the entire duration, and we can find smaller shifts depending on your availability.
Training
Volunteers will receive information and instructions on how to appropriately complete tasks prior to their first shift.
Benefits
Volunteers can gain service hours and communication experience while ensuring our staff can continue providing high quality services during the pandemic. This opportunity is perfect for students, as you can do school work or reading during slow periods.
Contact
If you are interested in this position, please contact our volunteer coordinator Rachel at rcatalano@projectplase.org!
