Home Roots Foundation is a grassroots nonprofit organization which helps pay student tuition and run economic programs for women and train farmers in Haiti. We want to help more people and eradicate extreme poverty. We have beautiful ideas to reduce poverty and ameliorate lives. However, we need help to improve our infrastructure to do so.

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator to help implement donor development activities. This includes developing relationships with corporate and private donors, creating donor database, raising brand awareness and fundraising campaigns. You would work with others to help raise brand awareness and increase donations for our project on GlobalGiving ( http://goto.gg/48867). We have thousands of people counting on us, your help would be invaluable. Money raised would go directly to programs and you would have access to review expenditure. Let’s have a conversation!

Responsibilities:

• Help to develop and implement a fundraising strategy
• Help to organize fundraising events
• Develop and maintain a donor database
• Maintain communication with donors and sponsors
• Work with the grant writer to identify and help submit grants
• Monitor impact of fundraising efforts

Qualifications:

• Ability to organize fundraising events
• Experience or ability to conduct online fundraising
• Experience or ability to build a successful online campaign
• Knowledge of data management/donor management software is a plus
• Ability to work well with others
• Preexisting relationship with donors is a plus
