Amalgamate is looking for an intern Manager to assist with recruiting, training, managing and recognizing the efforts of our interns. The intern Manager also manages the communications to and coordination of certain intern streams including large groups and VIPs as well as working with our Intern Manager. This position reports directly to the Artistic Director and will collaborate closely with Amalgamate’s Enterprise Committee.


If you can commit a minimum of 5 or more hours a week working remotely on your own schedule with our team, as well as working onsite for events, we'd like to hear from you.

Amalgamate is a New York City based arts organization that offers transformative performances, trainings, and events around the world. Since its founding in 2004 as a contemporary dance company, the company has exponentially expanded its reach and grown in its vision. It is now preparing to relaunch in 2020 with bold, fresh initiatives and events.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure intern shifts at events are adequately staffed.
  • Conduct onboarding for interns.
  • Maintain intern Service Descriptions for each intern assignment on internMatch and other relevant sites.
  • Ensure all interns understand, and are heeding, intern work requirements and company mission and values.
  • Interview and place applicants for in-person and remote intern work.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other intern organizations.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance for interns.
  • Assist in planning for Amalgamate’s major events by defining intern needs and sourcing extra recruits.
  • Develop intern communication materials and guidelines to be used for events sponsored by God’s Love

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or above
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Customer Service Environment
  • Experience supervising others preferred
  • Must have strong interpersonal communications skills, demonstrating cultural competency and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of constituents
  • Must have strong presentation skills and be comfortable speaking in front of large groups
