Bring your passion for women's leadership and your skills in financial management and leadership to this position.

This is a Board level position to be an advisor to committee chairs and the board chair regarding the financial wellbeing and growth of the organization.

The more mundane matters of compiling monthly financial reports for the Board and assisting with tax matters can be done by you or another volunteer team member.

50/50 Leadership is a 100% volunteer based nonprofit committed to empowering, educating, and inspiring women from all walks of life to become leaders in their careers and communities.

50/50 Leadership has programs providing financial literacy and mentoring to young women who grew up in foster care, have been homeless, incarcerated, or survived domestic violence. We also are building programming for women in the S.T.E.A.M. fields, immigrant women, and encouraging women to run for elected office.

Some board member basics:

  • Be a member in good standing and donate at the minimum level of $1,000 per year
  • Attend monthly board meetings - 3rd Monday of the month, 6:00 pm Pacific
  • Attend annual fundraising gala and as many other events as possible

We are women and men from all walks of life who agree that leadership should reflect the gender of the population: women make up more than half of the U.S. population and should be equally included in boardrooms, elected offices, academia, and all public and private enterprises and endeavors.

We feel that every girl and woman should have the opportunity to realize their leadership potential. Whether they are a leader in their home, at work, school or in the community.
Since 2004 we have led leadership training programs; honored women who are making a difference around the world, and provide financial literacy programs to young women who have grown up in foster care, are homeless, have been incarcerated or who have escaped domestic violence or sex trafficking.
We provide programming to promote, inform, educate and inspire women to be leaders, and men to support them.
