National Volunteer Week 2021 Is Here!
Celebrate with us as we highlight #ArtAsActivism!
Join YA Librarian Morya Morrone in monthly meetings to talk all things library and help make it a better place for you and other teens! Build leadership skills, help influence library programming and work on creative projects and virtual events. Also submit book, movie, app reviews, drawings, photos or blogs all about teen life. Participation counts towards community service hours. Ages 11 to 18 are welcome.
*Please note, this is a virtual volunteer opportunity*

The Los Angeles Public Library provides free and easy access to information, ideas, books and technology that enrich, educate and empower every individual in our city's diverse communities.
The Los Angeles Public Library is largest public research institution west of the Mississippi.
With more than 70 branch libraries and Central Library subject departments serving millions of Angelenos on a yearly basis, our programs are supported by thousands of volunteers in a variety of capacities. Whether providing one on one literacy tutoring, cutting out craft supplies for story time activities, helping serve summer lunch at the library, or serving as a Friend of the Library, all volunteers play a role in the work of LAPL.
If you would like to volunteer, but don't see a listing that matches your interests, please contact your local branch or the Volunteer Engagement Office. Opportunities and needs vary by location and fluctuate throughout the year.
Please note that the minimum age for volunteers is 14 (with the exception of 11-13-year-olds joining Teen Councils), minimum time commitments are required for most opportunities, adult volunteers working with children will be fingerprinted, and LAPL does not accept court-mandated community service.
We'll work with your schedule.
