Do you want to work with young people as they learn about International Humanitarian Law? The American Red Cross' Youth Action Campaign empowers young adults to explore topics related to International Humanitarian Law through per-to-peer educational campaigns. This year, our teams will focus on the topic "Education in war - how educational systems can be damaged by armed conflict and how the law protects them."
We need a Youth Action Campaign Coordinator in Utah to make sure this program is a success. You will help recruit teams of youth IHL Advocates from Utah to participate in the program, implement the IHL training for youth teams, assist for 2-4 hours per week with youth teams during the campaign, and help youth teams design their campaigns!
The overall time commitment is roughly 10-20 hours per month, and you'll get to mentor youth, expand your own knowledge about International Humanitarian Law, and make a direct impact in your community.
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Every single day, the American Red Cross helps people in emergencies. Whether its one displaced family, thousands of disaster victims, or providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran or support to a military family member, our vital work is made possible by people like you. It is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
