ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Utah & Nevada Region

logo

Do you want to work with young people as they learn about International Humanitarian Law? The American Red Cross' Youth Action Campaign empowers young adults to explore topics related to International Humanitarian Law through peer-to-peer educational campaigns. This year, our teams will focus on the topic "Education in war - how educational systems can be damaged by armed conflict and how the law protects them."

We need a Youth Action Campaign Coordinator in Utah to make sure this program is a success. You will help recruit teams of youth IHL Advocates from Utah to participate in the program, implement the IHL training for youth teams, assist for 2-4 hours per week with youth teams during the campaign, and help youth teams design their campaigns!

The overall time commitment is roughly 10-20 hours per month, and you'll get to mentor youth, expand your own knowledge about International Humanitarian Law, and make a direct impact in your community.
