The Healthy Eats 4U2 program hands out boxes with recipes, ingredients, and cooking utensils for kids 12 and under to learn cooking and other skills. These boxes are handed out weekly in conjunction with the Crossroads Foodbank. This first phase of the program only runs through the middle of December 2020, with larger partnerships being discussed for the future.
We have been using a spreadsheet to track who has received which components of the program (binder, weekly recipes, etc), but it's clumsy.
We need a very simple mobile app (3-4 screens, likely with React) that will allow us to sign in new clients (name & address maps to an assigned ID number) and check in returning clients, tracking which resources they've received and quickly showing what they need to be given on a particular visit. A trivial 1- or 2-table database (Dynamo?) will do the job, and a serverless (Lambda) design seems to make the most sense.
Being the primary logistics/IT guy, I have a deep background in software engineering, but not in mobile/cloud/serverless. I've started working through tutorials but just don't have enough time to get it done...
