At Serving Our Neighbors, we know that education leads the way out of poverty. That is why we have created the Learning Enrichment Centers (LEC), where children in grades K-12 will receive free homework help and a Grab-n-Go dinner in a safe, socially-distant setting with reliable Wi-Fi access.
Volunteer as a Hub Co-Leader to assist our staff with check-in, provide homework help and academic enrichment, and help oversee "Grab and Go" dinner distribution.
We have LECs around Central Ohio:
- Dublin
- Hilliard
- Galloway
- Westerville
- Canal Winchester
Times and days vary depending on the location but almost all the opportunities are in the afternoon. For more information, please contact our Volunteer Developer Haifa Lopez at hlopez@son-ministries.org

Festa is a grassroots movement of friends and family serving our neighbors to overcome poverty in our communities. Festa is an experience for everyone; it’s a community of caring friends. The more diverse we are, the stronger we can be. Together, we gather in our homes, we recognize the challenges of struggling families, and we celebrate our collective efforts to change lives.
Our three pillars: to feed, educate, and serve. By providing resources such as 3-Generation Family ESL to families and Summer Lunch Camps for children, Festa programming offers motivated neighbors the opportunity to better provide for their families.
