Amalgamate is looking for a volunteer Senior Marketing Assistant to oversee the Amalgamate Marketing team with administration and project management. This position is ideal for someone working toward Director of Marketing in their career.

Amalgamate is a New York City based arts organization that offers transformative performances, trainings, and events around the world. Since its founding in 2004 as a contemporary dance company, the company has exponentially expanded its reach and grown in its vision. It is now preparing to relaunch in 2020 with bold, fresh initiatives and events.

Please send us a resume and cover letter outlining your Senior Marketing experience and demonstrating that you are passionate about what we do at Amalgamate, a writing sample, 2-3 examples of social media posts you are especially proud of, and an optional sample of an ad you created. Our mission must resonate deeply with you. Please confirm your understanding that this is currently a volunteer position (although it can be an internship if you wish it to be).
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple marketing projects to completion.
- Aid in developing and evaluating marketing strategy and marketing plans.
- Aid in marketing research and discovering new strategies.
- Analyze findings and data from market research.
- Aid in budget and finance development for marketing projects.
- Report on success by monitoring key metrics.
- Building brand awareness.
- Help our company run more smoothly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field.
- At least 2 years experience in Marketing and Social Media.
- Strong knowledge of marketing/PM platforms such as Salesforce for Nonprofits, Later, and the Social Media platforms listed below.
- Comfortable working with G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Jamboard, etc.).
- Comfortable working with a variety of social media platforms/websites, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, Vimeo, and Canva.
- Experience with Internal and External Communications, or a willingness to learn.
- Some experience with copywriting on any platform or stream, or a strong writing skill coupled with experience in any form of writing (e.g. creative writing, technical writing, etc.).
- Some experience with ads creation, and some knowledge of Google Ads and Facebook Ads, or a willingness to learn.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
- Keen attention to details.
- Self-motivated and strong work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- You have a quiet, stable place to work with reliable internet.
